Trust Documents

In addition to the annual reports, the Counties Energy Trust makes a range of key documents publicly available to support transparency and accountability.

As a community-focused energy trust, we believe it’s our responsibility to ensure key information is accessible to anyone who wants to understand our work in more detail.

The Trust Deed – a key document which the trust is governed by, outlining the purpose and structure of the Trust.

The Ownership Report – In accordance with the Trust Deed every 10 years the Trustees consult with Beneficiaries as to the best option for the future ownership of the shares in Counties Energy Limited and the Trust’s assets.

Guidelines for Beneficiaries – explaining your rights and what it means to be a beneficiary of the Trust and the local electricity network.

These documents are particularly useful if you’re a local consumer (and therefore a direct beneficiary of the Trust*), considering standing as a Trustee in the next elections, or simply interested in learning more about how the Trust operates.
